Rudolph De Bruin
An advocate by profession, Rudolph has extensive experience in mining investment, value addition and deal negotiation.
In 2012, founded AMED Funds, raising 3 funds & deploying USD475m in capital to 19 mainly African mining companies. He was intricately involved in all transaction negotiations & project development & is now leading the funds’ ongoing exit initiatives.
Prior to AMED, Rudolph was directly involved in multiple mining investments, including the Platmin Group, Sephaku Holdings (cement & fluorspar), Taung Gold & African Nickel. He was more recently a direct investor in Canadian Fluorspar.
He has led major mining turn-around situations & advised on all aspects of law related to minerals, companies, stock exchanges & international finance throughout Africa, as well as in the UK & North America.
Started the Cape Mining Club, a networking platform for mining professionals.
Deon van der Mescht
A Mining Engineer by profession, Deon has extensive experience in Executive roles in the mining industry.
+ 40 years experience in the Mining Industry in Africa and Australia.
Executive Director of a number of listed companies
Led the re-opening of various curtailed mining operations as well as the turnaround and optimisation of struggling non profitable mining operations.
