Sephaku Cement
Rudolph and David bought the limestone prospecting rights from Anglo American in about 2009. Exploration to completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study followed shortly thereafter through the company Sephaku Cement, a subsidiary of Sephaku Holdings, which was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (South Africa).
Rudolph brought Aliko Dangote (reputedly the richest man in Africa) in as a joint venture partner in about 2010. The plant was subsequently built (with a CAPEX of $300 million) and the project currently produces approximately 5.5 mtpa.
