Rudolph and David made the discovery of platinum near the Pilanesberg Reserve (South Africa) and undertook the exploration to the completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study.

Rudolph and David sold the company in 2006 to a consortium, which then listed the company on the TSX reaching a market cap of $1bn. Production commenced soon thereafter. After Brian Gilbertson (previously the CEO of BHP) took control, the company’s name was changed to Sedibelo Limited.
